Refund policy
Overview
All custom, handmakes, modified products, special orders, including resized products may not be returned or exchanged.
We have a 7 day return policy for premade online stock purchases only, which means you have 7 days after receiving your item to request a return where you are provided store credit.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You will also need the receipt or proof of purchase.
To start a return, you can contact us at jo@uglydesigns.com.au. If your return is accepted, we'll request that you then follow the return shipping process that requires registered insured shipping to cover the total purchase price, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.
Exceptions / non-returnable items
Certain types of items cannot be returned, like all custom products (such as special orders, or personalised items, modified or resized items etc.). We also do not accept returns for orders once the item has begun the manufacturing process.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.
Refunds / Exchanges
All items are made to order therefore exchanges or returns are not offered for change of mind, with the exception of the 7 day return policy for premade stock purchases where you may receive store credit or refund at the sole discretion of U.G.L.Y Designs.
All custom orders including resized or modified rings and other products, are not eligible for return or exchange.
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
If the return is accepted, the fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, make a separate purchase for the new item or custom piece.
Custom pieces designed to agreed client specifications also have no refund or exchange once the item has begun the manufacturing process.
If the order has not been started and a cancellation or change of mind is requested a charge will occur. Depending on the amount of time invested in the design, or procurement of materials where they will no longer be immediately utilised, within a continued custom design; or from sourcing other components related to the body of work where We have incurred additional overhead, or expense, then all applicable charges will be cost recovered where applicable.

Once the returned item arrives at U.G.L.Y Designs, it will be inspected for alterations, wear, and/or damage. If the piece is returned in its original condition, we will initiate a refund based on the order's original payment method.
The refund amount will be calculated as the difference between the price of the item (and tax, if any) minus the original shipping charge. Please note that the original shipping charge will be deducted from the refund amount even if it was initially paid by U.G.L.Y Designs (i.e. complimentary shipping if deemed applicable from Shipping Policy).
Returns will be processed within one business day of receipt or the returned online stock product; an email confirmation will be sent once the refund has been initiated. Please allow up to 10 business days for the refund to post to your account.
