Alterations and Resizing

Please contact us directly if you would like details about resizing a specific piece.

Several styles cannot be altered as they need to be custom made in the appropriate size.

Most rings are designed to be resized up or down a couple of sizes.  If a ring is unable to be resized due to the design or stone and ring needs to be remade, we will quote for the remake. 

Once a ring is purchased, if the customer requires a ring to be resized, the first sizing up or down 2 sizes is complementary.  If further sizes are required, extra costs depend on labour and any additional materials as required. 

Note that sizing a ring may add additional time to your order.

Custom orders, including resized rings, are not eligible for return or exchange. 

After purchase, the customer is entitled to a complementary length fitting change to only shorten for the perfect wear, if additional length is required to be added a quote will be provided.

Note that resizing a necklace may add additional time to your order.

Any alterations of necklaces are not eligible for return or exchange

Custom orders, including resized necklaces, are not eligible for return or exchange. 

All designs, handmade pieces, and stones are personally selected or designed to be cut by expert stone cutters. Due to our sourcing practice if a piece of jewellery is sold, we cannot guarantee sourcing of same product.

Payment

Online purchases must be paid in full before the item is shipped.

Payment for custom manufactured jewellery will require a deposit specified by U.G.L.Y Designs before the work to start, and the balance to be paid in full prior to delivery, or collection.

Payments can be paid by the payment methods provided.

Shipping

Please contact us directly if you have a pressing time frame for a special event. 

Australia, though international work maybe accommodated on request.

Registered Post is required with tracking and signature for the delivery within Australia.

Registered Post Extra Cover is used for all orders as it provides loss or damage cover up to $5,000AUD.

If a customer requires alternative delivery options, please contact us for further discussion.

Shipping speed depends on at the time of purchase and whether any alterations are requested to the jewellery prior to shipping. 

The order will be processed within normal operational business hours the following day.

The customer will be contacted and provided with a tracking number once the item has been posted.

We will endeavour to resolve delivery problems where ever feasibly possible.

However, U.G.L.Y Designs accepts no liability or financial accountability for any errors or delays that are caused by couriers, postal services, other third parties during the shipping process, or the client where incorrect details have been provided, order delays, or product loss in the event of non-delivery.  

Returns and exchanges

Please notify U.G.L.Y Designs in advance via contact us or email (jo@uglydesigns.com.au ) before returning an item purchased online. Please note that custom or special orders may not be returned or exchanged.

Due to the nature of U.G.L.Y Designs creating custom one-off pieces that are designed to the client’s specifications, there is no refund or exchange once the item has begun the manufacturing process.

If the order has not been started and a cancellation or change of mind is requested a charge will occur. 

Depending on the amount of time invested in the design, procurement of materials where they will no longer be immediately utilised, within a continued custom design; or from sourcing other components related to the body of work where U.G.L.Y Designs has incurred additional overhead,  or expense, then all applicable charges will be cost recovered.

All custom orders including resized rings, are not eligible for return or exchange. 

Online stock purchases may be returned within 7 days of the date of purchase, only if the item/s are unused, unaltered, and not damaged, which will then qualify for a refund or exchange.

Once the item has been returned in its original condition, you will be contacted to discuss refund or exchange. If any damage has occurred the cost of the repairs will be deducted from the total prior to your refund.

The refund will be processed using the same payment method where applicable as to the original purchase payment method.

Online purchases will have to be returned in original U.G.L.Y Designs packaging using a courier service via Australia Post with the registered express signature on delivery to provided address.

Applicable online items may be returned within 7 days of purchase; they MUST be in unused, unaltered, undamaged condition to qualify for a refund or exchange.

Returns for online purchases MUST be shipped in the original U.G.L.Y Designs packaging, prepaid and insured with signature confirmation, to:

Please include the original reference detail, full name, and contact details so we can track the return process.

Please notify U.G.L.Y Designs in advance via contact us or email (jo@uglydesigns.com.au ) before returning an item purchased online. 

Once the returned item arrives at U.G.L.Y Designs, it will be inspected for alterations, wear, and/or damage. If the piece is returned in its original condition, we will initiate a refund based on the order's original payment method: credit card purchases may be refunded to the original credit card or to Shop credit. 

The refund amount will be calculated as the difference between the price of the item (and tax, if any) minus the original shipping charge. Please note that the original shipping charge will be deducted from the refund amount even if it was initially paid by U.G.L.Y Designs (i.e. complimentary shipping if deemed applicable from Shipping Policy).

Returns will be processed within one business day of receipt; an email confirmation will be sent once the refund has been initiated. Please allow up to 10 business days for the refund to post to your account. 

Custom or special orders may not be returned or exchanged.
